Eagle Family Dentistry is a family dental clinic at 340 Eagle St W in Newmarket, Ontario. Our name describes how we practise: we look after patients of every age — children coming in for a first checkup, parents keeping up with regular care, and grandparents maintaining their teeth and restorations — and we believe good dentistry is built on long-term relationships, not one-off visits. This page introduces the two dentists who will actually treat you, how we approach care, and what you can expect when you visit us.
Our philosophy is simple: prevent problems where we can, treat them early when they appear, and explain everything before we do it. Every recommendation at Eagle Family Dentistry starts with an examination and a conversation — what we found, what it means, what your options are, and what can safely wait. We would rather help you keep your natural teeth healthy for life than talk you into treatment you do not need, and we build every care plan around your individual needs, goals and comfort.
Because a family should not have to split its care across several offices, we provide a wide range of dentistry under one roof: regular checkups and cleanings, fillings, crowns and bridges, root canal therapy, wisdom tooth care, dental implant treatment, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontic treatment including Invisalign, and emergency care when something breaks or starts to hurt. Children, adults and seniors are all welcome. And if a case ever needs care outside what we provide, we will tell you honestly and help you find the right referral. You can see the full list of services here.
Many people feel anxious about dental visits, and we do not take that lightly. Our Eagle Family Dentistry team works at an unhurried pace, explains each step before it happens, uses local anaesthesia whenever a procedure could cause discomfort, and will pause whenever you ask. If you have had a difficult dental experience in the past, tell us when you book — knowing what worries you helps us plan a calmer, more comfortable appointment.
Our practice is led by Dr. Saeed Meshksar and Dr. Meysam Jahanmehr, general dentists licensed in Canada and regulated by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO). Both are members of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), and both stay current through continuing education. They are supported by our hygienists, dental assistants and front-desk team, who keep appointments running smoothly and make sure every question about your care — or your coverage — gets a clear answer.
Both dentists are licensed in Ontario and regulated by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario — you can verify any Ontario dentist in the RCDSO’s public register. For trustworthy patient information about oral health, visit the Ontario Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association.
Dr. Saeed Meshksar is the principal dentist at Eagle Family Dentistry. His approach starts with prevention: he believes most dental problems are easier — and kinder — to catch early than to repair later, so his examinations focus on finding small issues while they are still small. Patients know him for clear explanations and a calm, unhurried manner: what he found, what he recommends, and why.
After moving to Canada and validating his Doctorate of Dental Surgery credentials, Dr. Meshksar practised in Sudbury before settling in the Newmarket area. He is a member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) and continues his professional education to serve his patients better.
Dr. Meysam Jahanmehr was born in the United Kingdom and raised in Iran. He earned his doctorate in dental science (DDS) in Armenia and completed a two-year Qualifying/Degree Completion dental program at Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
After moving to Canada in 2011, he completed the National Dental Examining Board (NDEB) equivalency process and board examinations in 2013, and he has practised in dental offices across the GTA since 2014.
His practice philosophy is built on mutual trust and respect: honest findings, plain-language explanations, and recommendations he can stand behind. Dr. Jahanmehr is a member of the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) and the Academy of General Dentistry. He attends continuing-education seminars regularly to stay up to date with advances in techniques and materials, and he speaks English, Farsi and Russian.

Your care is provided by Dr. Saeed Meshksar and Dr. Meysam Jahanmehr, both general dentists licensed in Canada. Dr. Meshksar is the clinic’s principal dentist, with a particular focus on prevention and patient education. Dr. Jahanmehr has practised in the GTA since 2014 and is known for explaining findings and options in plain language. Neither of them is a specialist — like most family dentists, they provide a wide range of general, restorative and cosmetic care themselves, and they will refer you if a case ever needs a specialist’s hand.
Yes. Both Eagle Family Dentistry dentists are licensed in Ontario and regulated by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), the body that sets and enforces standards for every dentist in the province. You do not have to take our word for it: the RCDSO keeps a public register at rcdso.org where you can look up any Ontario dentist by name and confirm their registration. Checking takes less than a minute, and we encourage new patients to do it — for any clinic they are considering, including ours.
Yes — Eagle Family Dentistry welcomes new patients of all ages — children, adults and seniors — including whole families who want one dental home. At a first visit we take your dental and medical history, examine your teeth, gums and bite, take X-rays only if they are needed, and explain what we find before recommending anything. Nothing proceeds without your agreement. To book a first appointment, call us at (905) 836-6111.
Members of our team speak English, Farsi and Filipino, and Dr. Jahanmehr also speaks Russian. Dental visits are easier when you can describe symptoms and ask questions in the language you are most comfortable with, so let us know your preference when you book and we will do our best to arrange it.

Yes — we welcome patients covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Coverage depends on your eligibility, which is assessed first, and it follows the CDCP fee guide, which may not match the clinic’s full fee — so part of a treatment can still be payable by you. Cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics are generally not covered by the CDCP, and dental implants are not part of standard CDCP coverage. If you think you may qualify, contact our office before your visit and we will help you confirm what applies to you. More detail is on our CDCP page.
